I am 50 and I get my period every month on time and that is amazing to me ,because for years I never hardly got it at all. Now when it comes I have alot of clotting, is this normal?It has been like this for the last 3 times that I have had it.Am I going into the change? The moods I get before it come are uncontroling,and I feel very sad and down is this normal.Thanks 8-|

I think you definitely are. I know what my mother was like when this started happening.
She used to fight with everybody around, especially my father, and then she would go down in the dumps.

Are you feeling sad for no reasons, you feel blue just like that or because you feel that you’re aging and losing the main female characteristics.
Personally, I can’t wait to get rid of my periods. They can be so annoying.

Anyway, low levels of estrogen certainly make you feel how you feel, there’s no doubt about it. You are in the right age for it.

If irregular periods and mood swings are your only trouble, consider yourself lucky because then you managed to avoid the notorious night sweats and hot flashes.

My mom had constipation as well. She used to sit in a toilet and read.

Anyway, when was the last time you had your regular gynecological exam? If it has been a while, it would be wise to do it. After all, every woman should have it at least once a year.

You may decide to make some changes regarding your food choices because it is said that it helps eating healthy.
