Hi, I am mother of 3 years old girl who has kidney tumor. This tumor was discovered several days ago when we have visited her pediatrician because of completely different reason. Doctor made further analysis in the same moment and result was that she had Wilms tumor. I am very scared for my baby and I would like to know how dangerous is this tumor?

Hi, my sister's kid also had Wilms tumor and he is just fine now. This tumor is the most frequent children's kidney tumor. Very often it doesn't show any signs and sometimes it may cause abdominal pain, fever, short breath, diarrhea or anemia. Great thing is that most of the children are totally cured from this tumor. Treatment is surgical and it may be partial of complete nehperctomy depending of the fact how much is kidney affected.
