Hi. I’m 27 and I’ve had inflamed labia blisters for last 4 days. I’ve tried to treat it with few vaginal creams but no effect. Is this something serious?? Should I see the gyno?? What could this be?? Other than blisters (painful, but not much), everything else seems fine – have no trouble urinating.… Thanks for all answers.

It is very possible you have Herpes Simplex. That is an infectious, usually harmless but very uncomfortable viral disease. It is usually spread during sexual or close body contact so check your boyfriend too – it is possible you got it from him or transferred to him. Of course, this is only my guess but I think you should see your gynecologist. If I was right, then I’m afraid I have to tell you that currently there is no cure for herpes. There are only few treatments that will help you deal with it and your doc will prescribe it. Anyhow, keep the area clean and dry, saoid tight fitting clothing and be sure to wear underpants with a cotton crotch. Good luck!!

FOR A FEW YEARS NOW I HAVE HAD THESE RED BUMPS (BLOOD BLISTERS) ON BOTH SIDES OF MY LABIA, I KNOW THEY ARE BLOOD BLISTERS BECAUSE ONE HAS POPPED BEFORE AND DARK RED BLOOD HAS COME OUT AND AFTER IT WOULD STOP BLEEDING THE BLISTER WOULD BE FULL OF BLOOD AGAIN, THEY DON'T BOTHER ME WITH ANY PAIN BUT IT IS RATHER UGLY. I DO HAVE A FORM OF HERPES; FEVER BLISTERS/COLD SORES BUT THAT IS IT. IS THERE ANYTHING TO CLEAR THIS UP OR SHOULD I SEE THE GYNO?

Hi,

I have had the same problem for three years now.

The blood blisters never go away.

Did you go to a doc and what did you find out?

Many thanks.

I've had the same symptoms, labia blood blisters, not itchy nor painful. I've had them for about 4 weeks. Went to the doctor immediately and she indicated nothing contagious, not stds, herpes or anything to worry about. After the exam, she said I had a viracos vein on my libia where the blisthers occured (agroup of about 4 of them). She indicated there is nothing I can do to make them go away except to speak with a plastic surgeon. I'm not really willing to accept that answer and looking for more information. I'm hoping they'll go away but no real change over last 4 weeks.

I have the same symptoms - Labia blood blisters, not sore or itchy. Went to the doc immediately. She indicated nothing to worry about (not stds, herpes, warts, nothing contagious). She said I had a viracos vein where the group of blood blisters appeared and that they would not go away. I didn't like that answer as they are ugly and she said I'd have to see a plastic surgeon to get rid of them. Have had them for about 4 weeks and no change. Trying to search for a different answer as I want them to go away.

i have these. i get them on the left. mine itch terribly and then build up and ooze a mixture of a viscous, sticky pus and blood. there is a pin hole across the top of the skin where , i am assuming, the pus came out--my concern is that it could be staph given they keep recurring. this is not herpes--i've been etsted. but what ISit, then. and s it transferrable? if it' staph?

I have had the same problem since the age of about six years old. Just recently I notice a large lump under the skin on the top of my vagina. It was hard in some spots and squishy in another but didn't hurt until the next couple of days. After getting out of the shower it had developed a thin layer of skin on top of it and it was filled with blood. After poping it there was not much blood that came out and the lump is still there. I can still squeeze it and clear/yellow puss come out but it doesn't seem to change the size of the lump. I am very concerned, should I go to the clinic? I don't think it's herpes because it's only one at a time but in different spots, but this is the first time it filled with blood like that. Other times I will get small lumps under the skin of my vagina but in different locations...Could this be herpes or is it just an infection?

Hi, I was also wondering about mine. I have had them for as long as i can remember. They are on both sides but when I tried to pop one only blood came out and didn't get infected. They aren't raised up or anything and do not hurt or itch. During my first Pap my gyno didn't mention anything about them so i'm guessing it is nothing to worry about. I haven't had sex with anyone who is infected with anything so should I be worried that maybe I have something?

HI...I went to my dermatologist after my GYN said they couldn't help me...same as above...no itchiness...no bother...just embarassing cause you feel like others must think you have an STD...my dermatologist/cosmetic (board certified) surgeon said it is an ANGIOFIBROMA and specifically, when it is on the labia or sexual area, it's called a Fordyce Spot...and they are benign vessels...he treated me with lazer zaps and they cleared up...the lazering hurt moderately but it was worth it...they don't do all your labia...just zap the respective spots...additionally, he warned me that it's something I have and they may return and that no certain lifestyle contributes to them one way or another...so no way to really prevent them from reoccuring but that if they do I can retreat...additionally...I paid $200...for the one time lazer treatment...hope that helps...

I have painful blisters also. Well maybe just one huge one, midway between the vagina and the urethra. Is it better to pop them to get the pus out or let them be? (And I'm sorry for the gross imagery... can you imagine telling this to a person face to face). I can't tell if it's blood and pus and if I squeeze it, it hurts like hell. I tried to get a mirror down there but it's too dark to see anything (and I can't handle a mirror, a flashlight, and the area itself by myself, and I'm not about to ask someone else (just yet) to hold the flashlight and mirror for me while I adjust things around).

Soooo other than lots of soap and water... ideas? Is it dangerous to let the body get rid of it eventually? When I sit it hurts sometimes when I happen to put pressure on it but shifting my body gets rid of the pain. It only hurts when I wipe after going to the bathroom because it makes contact with it.

30 year old virgin here, open to suggestions. Thanks! :-)

I as well have the same issues, i foudn the first one or two after giving birth to my first, then after the second i had more.. and now im pregnant with my third and im uncomfortable. They are sore, and i notice that when i wipe there is sometimes little blood spots. its VERY embarassing. From what i understand because i had fast labours it caused more pressure down there, and wolla they continue to get worse... im very concerned im due to have my third in 2 months. I will be contacting my obgyn on monday to see if i should be concerned. I agree with all the other posts, its embarassing and makes you feel like theres something to be ashamed of. wether ur married or not, its still bothersome.

I am having the same issues as everyone else on here. I was freaking out because i keep thinkings its herpes, but the more and more i read these post, the more im starting to think its something in common and not an std.

mine started about 3 days ago. on my right labia. It originally looked like a whitehead pimple and me being gross, decided to pop it. a day later, its now a blister that oozes blood and a little of pus. this is the second time this happened to me in the last year.

i really need peoples input because i dont think its herpes because this is a reoccuring area you know? i need help and opinions.
