My husband was complaining of pain in his back when I looked and saw a very large and irregularly shaped mass close to his spine. The mass was slightly red in color. The next day, the mass wasn't as swollen. The following day the pain returned and he has three masses of various sizes on his back. They are irregular in shape and density. Two are close to the spine the other further from the center of the back. All of the masses seem to be less red in the mornings. My husband does have Chrones disease.
