My son had failed lumbar back surgery on December 1. He was admitted to the hospital on December 29 and put on two different pain medications. One January 2, he had another surgery. He ended up with flu like conditions the next day, running a high fever and was put on antibiotics. He was discharged three days later, still with a fever and oral antibiotics. He was kept on Valium and Prednisone for about a month. Then developed a extensive DVT in his thigh (leg). He is now going to Physical Therapy. He and his wife have been trying to have a baby for two years. His wife had to undergo a "stretching therapy" for about 8 weeks -that was very successful. My son had a seman analysis in March with a devastating count of 1 million. They went to a Fertilization Specialist who again tested his sperm in April. There was apparently no count this time. He was referred to a Urologist. How could there have been a count of 1 million and a month later none? Up to the time of his back surgery he was been very healthy and active.
