Have been feeling very tired for several weeks and recently have been having a stinging, piercing burning like feeling in lower right side of back and in right lower quadrant near ovary area. It comes and goes frequently, not steady pain at this time.

I have had a similar situation. I have noticed the pain before and it's always on my left side. I talked to my doctor and she treated me for Bacterial Vanginosis which I have been treated for approx. 10 times in the last 2 years. I am worried that something more serious is going on and she is just not seeing it or looking for anything else. The pain is the same....stinging, piercing and burning. It is also tender to press on that part of my stomach during the pain. The pain also comes and goes....not constant pain everyday. I would really like to know if someone knows anything about this or has any advice.

I have had this same problem. It doesn't hurt all the time but it is annoying. I went to the doctor for it. She told me I was going through menopause. The thing that bothers me is sometimes there is blood in my urine. Going to a new doctor in a month. I will ask her about it because she has my records from previous doctor.

hey this could be an ovarian cyst. ask your doctor. it's a lot of un- fun tests. but they cause so much pain and push on all kinds of things. apparently zantac or something like it helps because apparently there is a lot of gas around the cyst and it pushes on your stomach and the nerve endings going down. And probably on you bladder. i just went through all that and didnt' find out till later it was a cyst. which if they burst is extremely painful. so talk to you doctor.

Sounds like Giardia/bacterial contamination in the lower intestines. I'd definately be eating lots of yogurt and talking to a doctor about a Giardia test.

I am also experiencing those same symptoms. I had an c-section 4months ago and every since I've been having this really bad burning sensation in the bottom rite side of my stomach. I also had this lump(the size of an golf ball) that shifted from one side of my stomach to the other. What ever side the lump was on that's where I felt the burning. When I mention this to my OB doctor at my 2weeks check up,she stated that she had never heard of anything like that before. I still have this pain and burning 4 months after birth. It comes and goes. Right now I've been hurting for 3days now in a row. Also my period is so messed up now since giving birth. I hope you find out whats going on with you and wish you well.

i have had this pain for ten years. my doctor has found enlarged fybriod cysts and other growths. it is very painful but now mine turns into a very long and drawn out problem with no resolutions in sight. when i go to the doctor, nothing is found on any test that i take. i am starting to get sick from this ordeal and i don't think that there will be any help for me soon. i hope that this doesn't turn into any type of cancer later on and they tell me i have 2 months to live. i need to seek anothe opinion or go to an internal specialist because a normal obgyn will not be able to detect what the problem is or where it is.

What you describe sounds just like what I've been going thru. I just found out my burning, tearing pain on the right side, which has been going on for 3 years or so, is a fluid filled fallopian tube. My tubes were tied after my last baby and the fluid can get in, but not out. It is very intense at certain times of the month and a dull ache the rest of the time. I was tested for things, nothing found, ultrasounds with nothing found but a small cyst. Finally the tube has enough fluid to be seen on an ultrasound, which I'm told is something that shouldn't happen. I'm having the tube removed along with any scar tissue she can get. I will keep everthing else unless it's all grown together. Hopefully I won't lose everything. I don't want to go into early menopause.

hey, ive the same symptoms for years i was 15 when it started and im 21 now and still have the same pain, once it was in such pain my legs were hurting it felt like i had a ton of bricks on my legs i couldnt walk, or even have a quilt on my legs, it resulted in me lying on my bed in just knickers i was in such pain just couldnt move, a the doctor's came and seen me and said i pulled a muscel in my groin, but it still wasnt better and after lots of test they found that i have polystic oravy's, they put me on a yasmin pill to help make them smaller, it seemed to work for a while, but back to the pain again, im getting so worried, the burning, stinnging pain is back, i feel sick and sometime it feels numb, on many occasions i've curled over in pain and all the doctors do is give me pain killer with dont help, i also started to have a clear clot like discharge the doctor said it fine and normal in healthy women down there, it's worrying ive never known any 1 to have that, if any 1 gets any answers please let me know xx

Bacterial Vaganois (spelling) can be caused by wearing tampoons all the time. I stopped using them and haven't had any more vaginal discharge or a foul smell. Also the cyst can be maintain by proper diet and exercise. I notice when I eat right and work out, I do not have any problems. Also you can get rid or BV buy taking the Lactobacillus pills that can found @ GNC. Lactobacillus is a bacterium normally found in the mouth, intestinal tract, and vagina. Lactobacillus is used for preventing mouth sores and vaginal infections caused by bacteria and yeast infections. I've taken these pills all the time and they help. I haven't had any issues since I started taken these pills back in 2005.

Thrush/Bacterial Vaginosis and a pain in my left side arrived last June. Doctors and Gynes told me they were unrelated. Menopause was the answer given to all my symptoms. The pain in my side was first diagnosed as back problem then an ovarian cyst and eventually almost a year later gyne decided it was a blocked fallopian tube. When I went in to have the tube removed it turned out to be an arteriovenous malformation. I lost my ovary but since the operation all the discomfort of BV is gone. Its apparently quite rare and wont show up on ultrasound, but if you have those two symptoms together its worth exploring the possibility with an MRI.

I am a guy with similar symptoms. My left lower side from the ab to just short of the hip bone is slightly uncomfortable. When I touch the area, I get a burning sensation along with a stinging feeling. I am thinking a possible muscle spasm that is affecting the nerve or a mild pull. Either way a new pain in the body is alway nerve racking.
