I have got a small but hard and protruding lump on the sole of my foot. What do you think this could be? It does hurt on and off as well, and this is one of the things that worries me. Can you tell me more? If you have any clue what this might be, please do leave me a message.

That sounds like an ordinary veruca to me to be honest! If you look at the thing really closely, are there tiny little black dots? If so, it is definitely a wart! You have to get yourself to a doctor and you can then choose to either have it burnt off or frozen off. There are also home treatments, but I find they don't work as well.
