Hi, there. Lupus photosensitivity is mainly referred to skin sensitivity to light. Certain areas of skin when exposed to the sun, react with rash. There is a typical skin rash of face. It is butterfly shaped. The prevalence of this photosensitivity varies. It is between 25% and 75% of all lupus patients. Your friend should discuss this with her specialist.
