Hello! I have been taking medc for my high blood pressure for some months now but only this week have I developed a rash all over my neck and chest. I saw some pictures and it looks like lupus. What should I do? Do I need medical help or should I just stop taking the drugs? Thanx for the info!

In each case you need doctor’s evaluation to see what has caused your rash, we can’t guess over the internet. Even though Hydralazine can cause lupus, the rash is so called malar and it usually appears on face and cheek, not on neck and chest, but it could be some other reaction to the drug you’re taking. You definitely need a doc to see what you are about to do because I am no expert and can’t give you any proper medical advice!

I have discoid lupus and I get them on my neck, chest, back, face eyelids when I am under stress and have been in the sun. They are saying the pill is safe. I don't think so. The only thing I altered in my life was beginning the pill and I had severe discoid reactions and have had it since 13 yrs later. My doc just wanted to put me on the pill to regulate my hormones and I said no, I'd rather go crazy ha ha than risk any further damage.
