I had problems taking melatonin. I fell asleep and then woke up and I am having weird dreams. I am getting up in the morning drowsy. I think melatonin is pretty powerful stuff. I asked for advice and I’ve been told to try taking the pill early in the evening. I am I had problems taking melatonin. I fell asleep and then woke up and I had weird dreams. I am not even sure what is the optimal dose, I have 3mg tablets.

Hello there. I was wondering if anyone else had experienced issues with melatonin. The symptom I have is that about 2 hours after falling asleep and sometimes I wake up with the crawlies. I need to get out of bed and walk around. It’s extremely uncomfortable, but doesn’t happen every time. I take many supplements before bedtime, but my one seems to point to the melatonin. It’s possible its something unrelated the melatonin because there is no pattern. I do have a cup of coffee in the morning, but am familiar with the feeling of being wakened by caffeine. This is a different sensation.
