I just talked to my grandma on the phone, and she mentioned that starting yesterday, my grandpa started asking where his only son lives, and "Who is Jeff?", meaning his only grandson. These are HUGE things for him not to know. He never had any memory loss before this. But she'd answer his questions, and after about an hour he'd be normal again and able to remember everything. Why would this be, what is it? Is this how Alzheimer's starts out? This is very worrisome to me. He's 90 and is tired all the time, but has been very active and healthy his whole life. He has good low healthy blood pressure. I've tried to find info on the web, but can't find info on severe, intermittent memory loss. Any info/experiences? Thanks a lot.

My grandpa had did that once as well, he started off like that not to make you feel sad but he was like that then ended up having memory loss :(
