Me and my girl friend had sex for the first time last night and this afternoon, i'm 17 she's 16 and we have been going out for some time - we both are in love with each other so we decided to move the relationship forward abit, so we decided to have sex, i used protection of course and we started.. at first we both didnt really know what was going on but i enjaculated 15 mins into it - is this the normal time for my first time?
then in the morning we decided we wanted to give it another go so we started off with soem foreplay etc she was alot more relaxed this time and we didnt have any problems with actual penatration as opposed to the night before, all went pretty well and i think she was on verge of orgasum just before i enjaculated - not sure
but heres the real problem at the moment, she didnt bleed atall first time and we then did it another time and still no blood, but about 7 hours after our second go she started bleeding and generally feels ill with stomach pains, is this normal? and have u got any tips on how i can make the whole experiance better for her?
thank you :-D

Hi Phil: The bleeding after is normal, that is her hymen breaking. AND some girl bleed later and have pain and nausea after because you are reaching areas in her that haven't been reached before. So it will hurt at where her cervix is and her muscles and tendons inside would have been contracting on and off during you making love. So this IS normal.
After time, and tenderness, this will pass. Just make sure she doesn't have any aprehension about it all too OK hon? Just be loving and tender AND understanding if she is having a bit of a hard time with it. It's a big deal loosing your virginity, not matter how much she loves you. She has all the thoughts in her head from her upbringing etc. So just keep communication open OK! And be caring and everything will get better, and ALWAYS use protection OK! And your 1st question, I think you did pretty good holding off for 15 minutes on your 1st time!!! Don't worry about that, it's no big deal OK? Good luck and health too both of you!

Hi Phil, I'm glad to hear that your first time went so well. Just out of curiosity, is your girlfriend also on birth control? Good on you for using protection your first time as well! I just wanted to know because it can be a good idea to have a backup in case it breaks or something. Is that the case?

Hey thanks for the reply, no she isn't on birth control at the moment, we have disscussed it and we're not sure its a great idea (mainly due to her not wanting to ask her mother etc.. we have talked about what would happen if the condom split and im pretty sure we could get a morning after pill, we are not an overly sexual couple at the moment and dont really want to be at this age so i think she would prefer not to take birth control although i will suggest it to her again. in an ideal world she'd take birth control but i respect her views etc :-)
thansk for the comment :-D

Hi Phil: it is very rare for the condom to break. I would suggest getting a better type actually.
BCP's can play havoc on a girls system and take some time and changes to work out. When used
correctly the condom is 97% affective. Also remember the morning after pill is NOT to be used as contraceptive.
It is ONLY for emergencies OK? And it has to be used withing 72 hours of any accidents - to stop the fertilization from occuring.
Just always wear a condom - to protect both of you. Good luck and health hon!

No problem, I'm glad to hear that you're at least being careful about it! I'm also glad to hear that you're not always having sex because that does increase your risk just based on the law of averages. bambi's right that condoms rarely break, but they can rip or break with improper usage. The 97% number comes from perfect use, and sometimes people use old or expired condoms. Have your latest experiences been easier for her?
