Hi, this is my first question on here and i'm looking for help!

So i've had symptoms that mimic ms for the past 2  years ever since a car accident.. There is no need to list all my symptoms just look up ms and I have every single symptom spot on, I have heat intolerance, pins and needles, weakness, and the whole 9 yards of other symptoms there is with ms. I've been to doctor after doctor had more then 20 blood tests, 3 mri's  and 2 ct scans later I have made no progress in a diagnosis. The mri of my cervical spine and my brain  was negative for any lesions that would deal with ms. My neuro was actually so confident that I had ms that he was discussing how it will be treated even though I didn't have any mri's or blood tests yet. But anyway here I am now not knowing what the heck is wrong with me and it's driving me crazy! Me and my neuro are still keeping ms as a possibility because I have all of the symptoms (i know it's still possible to have it even though my mri came out negative), but what other things could this possibly be.. could it be a spinal cord injury that is mimicking these symptoms of ms? or any other ideas of what this is? remember these symptoms were triggered after a car accident, it wasn't extremely severe I just jolted a little, the one thing I did notice was mild back pain after the accident otherwise I was fine.. these ms symptoms didn't occur until about a week after this accident.

Hi, I too am having the same "ms like syptoms" started after a car accident I had about a year and a half ago now. I saw a Chiropractor and got my back all straightened out, did some physio, and with no relief from the syptoms I finally went to my GP. She sent me off for blood work, and the only thing that was out of the ordinary on a whole panel of blood work was that I tested positive for ANA or Anti-nuclear Antibodies which is usually seen in people who have some kind of Auto-immune disease such as LUPUS or MS. Have you been tested for this? If so, what was your result, positive or negative?

I am now being sent to a neurologist to check for MS and a Rheumatologist to rule out LUPUS. The doctor said it's sometimes possible for trauma or injury to start MS symptoms in people who already have it in their bodies. So I would ask for more testing if I were you.

I am still at the beginning stages of trying to get a diagnosis, so good luck to you and if you find out anything let me know.
