My abdominal scar needs to be repaired skillfullydue to breaking open twice now. It is about5 x7 inches from pubic bone to above the navel. Can you tell me the best procedure method to successfully close the scar.Last time they only secured it with 2 internal sutures both of which poped when I sneezed and then closed surface skin with staples.My abdomen looks a mess now as I also have an illeostomy on the left side which will be reversed at the same time they hope to close the scar again.
However, I have been advised by others to seek the help of a plastic surgeon.Please advise.
