Well yesterday my fiance and I had unprotected sex (not the first time), and he seemed to be taking a while to ejaculate. When he finally did, he had a pained look on his face, which made me a bit concerned. Afterwards, he kept itching his penis, I told him to wash himself down there in case that helped. He came back and said it didn't itch any more, it hurt, then he leaves again to pee. When he returned again, he admitted that since the morning, his penis was hurting when he peed, and continued stinging for a few minutes after. At first I thought it might be some sort of bladder infection, but today the inside of my vagina has been constantly stinging too. Can infections be transmitted?

I know that some STI's (ie Chlamydia and gonorrhea) have pain while peeing as a sympton, but I'm pretty sure he's stayed faithful to me, so would like to investigate other possibilities. This was the first time we had sex in a few weeks, and the pain for him started yesterday morning. As far as I know, he hasn't been experiencing bleeding/swelling/redness, but I'm still worried for him.

And before anyone asks, he is planning to go to the doctor if the pain hasn't subsided in a couple days, but we would like some input now.

Since you are experiencing the itching as well, it is possible that you both have a yeast infection, which is not an STD but can easily be passed back and forth between partners. Yeast infections are fairly easy to treat with over-the-counter antifungal medications like monistat.
