Hi,
If you do end up getting a testosterone test and have high testosterone this can be due to insulin resistance (which causes high testosterone and high testosterone is one cause for hair falling out).
You can research the signs of insulin resistance on the Tube (youtube). Most doctors do not test for insulin resistance or consider it a cause of diseases, but insulin resistance causes many common health conditions that we commonly believe are lifelong conditions or doctors don't know the underlying cause and with new findings recently, it turns out insulin resistance has a lot to do with common health problems, including hair falling out.
There is great information on how you can reverse insulin resistance if you feel you have the symptoms just through diet and if that is the culprit, that will reverse your hair falling out.
It is common to see hairs here and there, but if you see it all the time and notice it often throughout the day then it usually means something is going on.
Don't worry, the underlying causes for hair falling out are pretty common and fixable. Beyond insulin resistance, it can be due to lacking minerals, vitamins and can be due to stress as well as hormones like some other people have commented.
I wish you all the best! (don't worry, it will take a lot of hair falling out to get bald patches. Mine has been falling out for probably 10 years and I don't have any bald patches - but just now learning what may be causing it for me so working on reversing it myself ; ))
