Well... I was on methadone for 6 years and I tried and tried to withdrawl and would suffer through it for two weeks and the aches and being unable to function was too much so I would go back to it. Im a 34 yr. old female and I even moved out of state to my sisters to try to get away and make myself go through it, and if you are on methadone for a long period it takes 30-60-and even up to 90 days to withdrawl! I did it, the second month you have to make yourself walk everyday it helps. You dont have to be on it for the rest of your life like I thought I was going to have to. I didn't think there was any hope for me I thought I would feel that way forever!! Since then I have taken some oxycodone and the withdrawl from that is easy!! At least you know its going away, unlike methadone it lasts so long! It took me all of 3 months to stop my back and legs from hurting and by a month and half u can sleep. Get some wine, or try to get another pain pill besides methadone for a few months to be able to function and then go through 2 weeks of withdrawl from it instead of 3 months of the methadone withdrawl. Methadone ruined my life, I bearly could have a chance to withdrawl. The doctors should warn us of that sh*t!!
