Hi, I have a narco problem. I took the Multiple Sleep Latency Test and was diagnosed with pathological sleepiness. I got into some support group, learned things about narclepsy. Not sure about the treatment options anyway. Heard that the pills may trigger panic attacks. Heard about the anti-depressant-stimulants recipe – I am depressed but still... Pills are pills. And I feel like pills for narcolepsy are probably something very strong. Anybody got anything about any kind of a treatment?

Yeah, narcolepsy pills are not toys. Treatment for narcolepsy includes stimulants and anti-depressants (which effect hallucinations cataplexy and sleep paralysis). So you have metamphetamine and dextroamphetamines, but some side effects also, such as headache, insomnia, mood changes, irregular heart beat. Long-term use may damage your liver, or lead to psychosis and addiction. You have Modafinil too, not a stimulant and not addictive. Modafinil should improve alertness. But you can never really tell how will the med work.
