I started the process of a medical abortion last Friday 1/26 and took the second set of pills 1/27. I had a completely normal process. Started lightly bleeding within 30 minutes, had heavy cramping and passing large clots within 4 hours and have bled and passed large clots since then. However since Tuesday I've had on and off nausea and my breasts are still a little tender. I wasn't experiencing morning sickness before the pills. I had tender breasts, acne and fatigue. My acne cleared this week and so has my fatigue. Just making sure this is normal. It's giving me a ton of anxiety even though I know the process went normally.

It sounds like your body is going through the aftermath of the medical abortion process, which can indeed stir up a variety of physical responses as it adjusts. The bleeding and cramping you described fit within the expected outcomes post-medication. As for the ongoing nausea and breast tenderness, these can also be part of your body's reaction as hormone levels start to settle back to their pre-pregnancy state. Each person's recovery can vary a bit, with some symptoms easing faster than others. It's totally understandable to feel anxious during this time, but these symptoms should gradually improve. However, if anything feels off or if the symptoms persist, contacting your healthcare provider is a wise move. They're there to support you through this and usually supervise you, and should offer peace of mind or further care if needed.
