Hey... Okay so I'm not too sure if I'm still able to take the morning after pill. About a week ago, on Jan. 12 i had unprotected sex with my man. He didn't cum inside but there was precum so who knows if that's enough. Anyways, i didn't take the Plan B pill. So today, the 18, we had unprotected sex again (responsible aren't we? hahah) and he wants me to get the pill but I'm not sure if it will still work? Could these 6 days be enough to get pregnant? And if there's that possibility of pregnancy should i not take the pill? I don't know what to do... Please help!

Hi Joanna,

By now Plan B won't help you from having sex on Jan. 12.  It will protect against pregnancy from having sex on the 18th.

You need to take it within 72 hours for best results.  Some studies show it can help until 120 hours, but the longer you wait the less effective it is.

If you plan to be sexually active, consider a daily birth control pill.  They are more effective than emergency contraceptives.

Good luck.
