Hello,
I am a 46-year-old female with a long medical history. I have been healthy for the past 12 years, but prior to that struggled with many female problems.
I have suffered with such things as Stage 4 Endometriosis, Stage 4 Adhesions, and multiple surgeries to help these problems. One surgery resulted in Peritonitis. From that, I had a Colostomy for 4 months and was lucky enough to have it reversed.
I tell you all of this because back in December 06, I had what I thought was my first ever bought of the flu. I had diarrhea and vomiting for 6 hours. At one point, I had the dry heaves. When I had the dry heaves, I thought I had a lot of pain in my chest during one episode.
For two weeks after, each time I ate, I felt like my food was getting stuck in my chest. It felt like something was turn in side out.
This is now March and I am still not back to my old self. I cannot eat without getting bad stomachaches high up, or below my breastbone. I have lost 13 pounds and am getting very scared.
I recently had a CatScan after an ultrasound uncovered 2 - 2.5 cm cysts on my liver. The biopsy came back at cysts full of protein. I am schedule for a scope down my throat and pray they find something so that I can eat again. I am running out of options to keep nutrition in me and really worry they may not find anything from the scope.
If that pans out to be true, what do I do next? I can't afford to drop any more weight and am desperate to eat again without pain. Please help...
