I recently had my gall blader removed  seven months after having surgery for a colostomy.  There was scar tissue on the intestines, and I had not been able to eat or digest since the surgery for the colostomy.  While they were doing the surgery on the scar tissue,  they removed my gall bladder.
I have several other heath issues too which will complicate things more which I will not bother to get into. Am I going to be able to function without
a gall bladder and having a colostomy?

Hi Pete,  Had my gallbladder out many years ago.  I've met several people who have had the same, and I think the bottom line is everyone's body reacts differently.  For me, I can't eat   fatty/rich food *and* drink a glass of wine the same meal.  I have to choose one or the other, because it's all my body will tolerate.  If I did have both, I feel nauseus and will either throw up or get diarrhea.  I can only ever have a glass or two of wine.  Any more than that and I will feel sick.  But I have known people who did not have the problem.  I would say try things in moderation--your body will let you know.
