Hi, im a male age 15 and i was always comfortable with my balls. In summer 04 i was out of the shower naked lying on my bed. looking at my scrotum. when i moved so did one of my testicles and it exposed a small lump. I immediately went red hot with fear. i was so scared. i ignored the problem. and still do to this day. i once bravely put up the courage to briskly feel my balls last year to check they were the same size and they were. I assumed it must be a cyst. But i cant bring myself to even look at my scrotum from afar in a mirror because i might see the difference in size incase it might be cancer. I sometimes experience aches in my scrotum too, I need all the advice i can get, Thanks

Well, if you continue to ignore it and it DOES turn out to be cancer, and it was something that could have been easily taken care of and not become terminal, won't you feel like an id**t for not doing something about it when you first detected it.

You're 15, not 5. Do something about it. Go see a doctor.

Now that you have seen your doctor and all is well, you really need to get to know your body a little better. Lay on your bed, get a hand held mirror and explore your anatomy. Make mental notes on how everything looks now, touch and squeeze just to see how things feel. Notice color and texture, is something smooth now but rough and dry at another time?
This is your body and your personnel space. You have this body until you die (sorry). There is not a single reason why you can't examine yourself on a regular basis. Things can pop up over nite. What wasn't there this morning may be there to nite. I'm not saying check with a mirror every day, but make it a habit maybe once a month. Do a physical check while you are taking a shower. Women check themselves monthly, usually after a period, so men can do the same.
