Hi. I’m a 26 year old teacher and a PMS pain sufferer. I usually take regular pain relievers when it hits me but since this really bothers me monthly when teaching, I’m thinking of getting a stronger medication. I have a fellow teacher who’s 7 years older than me. She said she takes ultram for her PMS and it’s been a great help to make her day manageable. I know that my aunt took the same med for her osteoarthritis but not for PMS. DO you have any info regarding this? Thanks.

Hi. Actually, yes, your co-teacher is right. Ultram can also be used for PMS pain treatment. This is a prescription med, though. So do talk to a doctor about it. Also, ask about the possible side effects and if it’ll affect your diet, etc. Hope this helps.
