Before reading, remember that this post is coming from a guy - not a girl.
I think I have a problem with paranoia and pregnancy.
My girlfriend has been on birth control since day one, and 95% of the time I use a condom. We've never had a pregnancy scare in the year we have been active.
Until April Fool's day when she had me totally convinced that her pills AND our condom had failed and it was certain she was pregnant. Being the dummy I am, I fell for it 100%. Since then, I haven't been the same.
I haven't been able to have sex with her since, and even still I freak out when her usual period approaches the same time each month (cause of the birth control). Every single time she says things like "I don't feel good" or "My stomache hurts",or even does something as have to use the restroom more frequently because of us getting an evening coffee, I STILL freak out.
I can't live like this.
I find that funny since we haven't had sex in months. My mind tricks me into thinking our foreplay could cause things to happen - even with no penetration, close contact OR ejaculation.
I don't know what to do about this. I can't live like this. She is aware of this entire thing - and has been understanding and supportive the entire thing. I couldn't be more thankful for that, though it is starting to take it's toll on the relationship.

Women have water retention around their period, so yes, we do pee more around our periods.
We also have cramps and stomach aches due to hormonal changes, which can signal that our period is coming.
Maybe it will make you feel better to talk about "WHAT IF"
IF I personally become pregnant, I will have an abortion, my husband and I both agree to this.
This makes us both feel better because we both have closure, and feel in control.
