I recently stopped taking the pill. On 6/1/2006 and after several days of looking at ovulation sticks that all said no on 6/5/2006 the smiley face was there. We tried several times and on 6/6/2006 my period started. Is there any chance that we could be pregnant. It doesn't hurt to keep trying even now, but what are the chances.

Honestly ovulation happens 14 days before a period, so that seems odd..Coming from a medical persons standpoint...
Perhaps it is just bleeding from hormone irregularities and stopping the pill..

Since the test read negative for 4 days and then read positive should I assume that ovulation could be occurring despite my unscheduled period. A friend thought the period starting a week earlier than expected was just my going off the pill in the middle of the pack, but what happens to the egg if ovulation did occur or tries to occur in the next 18 hours.

If I had stayed on the pill, I should have started on the 14th of this month. Which would have put my ovulation around the 1st of the month. Is that correct. So maybe coming off the pills delayed it a day or so. Could that explain it. Because we are running on a short amount of time I am trying to make the most of each chance. We are doing sperm banking to help insure a few more tries, but I know my husband would rather it happen as natural as it can.
Thanks for listening and helping.

The pill stops ovualtion, and changes your whole cycle around... So you would not ovulate when you think you would, because the pill changes everything.. IT takes 2-3 months for your body to start back to its normal schedule.. But it is possible to ovulate anytime after stopping birth control.
There is a chance that if you are bleeding, but you DID ovulate that it would not implant because of the bleeding.
