I started about 1.5 years ago with pain below my last lower rib. I was pregnant at the time with a big baby so I just thought it was a part of the baby lodged under my rib. Since having him I have had it come and go periodically but it just recently got worse and more persistent to warrant a doctors visit. I'm scheduled for an ultrasound in a week and a half and I'm so scared as to what this could be. Has anyone found any answers? I have moderate pain, nausea and back pain sometimes too. Just an overall feeling of yuckiness.

Hello, Guest.  I am sorry to hear that you are having pain in your abdomen and other symptoms causing you misery.  It could be many things  but how is your appetite?  Does your pain seem worse after eating a fatty meal?  It could possibly be your gallbladder giving you trouble.  Or you may have a hernia.  I am glad you are going to the doctor to get it checked out.  I hope it is something simple that will not warrant having surgery.  Let us know how things go and what the ultrasound tells the doctor.

Has anyone else had these symptoms and if so, what was the cause of them?

I'm sorry guess I should have said. The pain is on the left below my last rib. Appetite is okay, I eat each meal and it varies, sometimes that makes it worse and some times no effect. I have really been watching what I eat since it started, so mostly fruits, veggies, and fresh meats. My diet change hasn't seemed to help.
