Hey, I'm 24 years old and I'm somewhat athletic. I played every sport in highschool, including soccer for 15 years. I currently work in construction (carpentry) which keeps me in pretty good shape. I do however have somewhat of a stress and anxiety problem. I seem to put a lot on my plate and it gets pretty stressful.

Ive had pain behind my left shoulderblade for about 5 years now, as well as pain in my mid back and rib cage all on the left side. Currently it feels like I need to take deep breaths quite frequently and usually I can't finish the deep breath. It happens just sitting down, walking, or standing up. If I stretch my rib cage out while taking the breath I can get the whole breath in and it feels better. This has happened to be before a few years ago, but I forgot what I did to get rid of this.

I also just quit using caffeine 1 1/2 weeks ago and I'm not sure if this has anythng to do with it. also I havent used alcohol or nicotine for about 6 months now.

My problems are fine when waking up and laying in bed, but once I get up and start moving through my daily routine It gets worse.

Is this just stress and anxiety related? could it have something to do with my sore back? and lastly, could the lack of recent caffeine cause this?

thanks
Brandon
