Hi, I am 57 years old male and I am experiencing pain under my ribs which is pretty strong. Pain is especially strong in the morning when I wake up. I am afraid if this pain may be connected with my heart and I will go to visit my doctor. Anyway I would like to hear if anyone had similar experiences.

Hi, pain is always a sign that something is going on. However pain is not so reliable sign by which we may absolutely sure that we know where it comes from. I had similar pain like this one you have described and my doctor told me that pain is caused by osteoarthritis. He prescribed me ibuprofen but pain didn't disappear totally. Such pain may be caused by inflammation of your pancreas. Anyway you would go to see your doctor for more detailed analysis
