Past couple of months had unusually bad menstrual cramps, but didn't think much of it. Then this month, I had my period for 2 days when I started having bad chest pains. The got worse to where I didn't want to move. My husband took me to the hospital where they checked out everything related to my heart. My pulse, blood pressure and heart rate were all elevated for about 5 hours. They used nitroglycerin twice to bring it back to normal, but found no evidence of heart disease or damage. During a CT scan, they put iodine in my veins. I got really hot starting in my neck and the heat went straight to my ovaries. It felt like bad cramps x100! Then, during my stay, my period stopped completely and did not return. They sent me home with no explanation.
Since leaving the hospital I've had horrible cramping accompanied by a light head and naseau which lasts for several hours and happens several times a day. The pain progesses and at some point gets excrutiating before a bowl movement. When I go to the bathroom, my stool is kind of flat and loose, almost flaky looking. Once, there was a blood trail on it,
Now, two weeks later, I suddently have an unexpected period that is extreme with very painful cramps. Its almost as if it was blocked and finally was able to eject from my body. I'm concerned but unsure if I should see a general practicioner or a gynocologist. Has anyone experience any of this?
