I had surgery 4 days ago and it's been awful the o.O recovery with the BM's are horrific.. :$
I can definitely agree that it's far worse than child birth. My doc says everyone is different with the recovery general 2 weeks, he has had pt's that took 5 weeks to recover. I am a mail carrier and i walk alot so I know for sure that my recover will be extended because I have to be able to walk for an extended period of time each day with heavy lifting.
After readng the posts I know I am not the only one that suffers with such pain with the BM's.
I have to say a prayer each time I go, shake my legs rub my back it's awful and scary. I usually just sit there for a while because it's too painful to get up, it hurts like hell.
I was on percoset but it made me constipated and I had to switch to 800mg ibrobrophen.
I take Metamucil 2x a day and try to eat soft stuff but since my colonoscopy the prep and then this surgery I had been on liquids.
It kills me I can't eat, but pray for me cause today I ate stuff for the first time.
I can only imagine the PAIN I WILL be going through...
Hell why does it have to hurt so much??????

Oh I also had anal fissures which I was giving Nifidipine ointment.
I also take antibiotics and 2 other ointments as well.
It's a major headache....
That percoset made me so dizzy and I just fell right out with it, I guess that could be good, the constipation NOT SO GOOD...
