I had my PPH surgery 15 days ago, returned to work day 11, pain is present but managble with OTC meds. Can not take Rx painkillers work/drive LOL!! I have a swelling from the surgery the size of a cherry it was very purple bruised and now pink and very ugly. Dr says it is a complication and an unexpected outcome it will shrink, i don't see it getting smaller and I am not happy it is grosser then any Hemorhoid I ever had. I had internal and external Dr told me PPH would take care of both....blood supply would be cut off to externals thus they would not HURT anymore. Has anyone ever had a swelling like I am experiencing now,  I am afraid that it's not going away it looks terrible and is uncomfortable....I am not riding a bike with this thing anytime soon and don't even feel comfortable knowing that it there. UGLY looking and very self-conscious over it actually.....Dr did say maybe he could clip it but it has to shrink first...I never expected this or another procedure posssibly..has been a very difficult painful recovery and I still feel extreme pain with BM's. I am  following a very rigid metamucil, miralax and dulcolax regimen. Please advise if this has happened to anyone. Thank You

Hi there,

i just had the pph surgery 8 days ago, the last two days I notice the swollen come out during bm. It's very uncomfortable for me to sit or walk.  I'm so depress. Is these some more hemorroid? My doc lie to me, he said I can go back to work in a week.  Here day 8, still at home, afraid to walk because the swollen or hemmoroid still there.  I have appointment with my doctor in 3 days, I can't wait. Right now  I'm really worry and depress and scared.  How are you doing? I'm praying you are doing better.

The first mistake you made was getting this surgery. Mine was five months ago and i am JUST NOW beginning to feel a bit normal. It took almost two months before I was NOT in total agony.

You should go to a different city and see a different doctor. Tell them that you are visiting someone and it is an emergency so that you will be seen. Otherwise, nobody else will want to check you for a long time.
