Hi Emma: You didn't tear your hymen hon, you are experiencing your 1st period. When it 1st starts, it is all wonky, it sorts itself out around the 3rd cycle! So the thing to do is this, always keep the area clean, remember to shower everyday, take along pads in your purse, because when you 1st start it can just happen out of the blue, and you don't want to be caught off guard. Sometimes it can be light and other times it can be a FLOOD that will be embrarassing. Usually your period pains can be quite intense when you 1st start with your periods, so just keep an eye on it and you can take Ibuprofen or Midol. You might have back pain, stomach pain and pelvic pain, tender breasts, or even mood swings like this >;) :$ >:( :'( :-S %-) :-( This is called PMS - Pre Menstrual Syndrome! And it can be easily handled OK? And welcome to Woman hood hon!!! Good luck and health hon, hope this helps you!

Your welcome hon, also IF you hurt while you are peeing, that could be a urinary tract infection or a bladder infection. So just keep an eye on that, teenage girls are more prone to those too. And yes your uterus will hurt, that is where the lining comes from and that is your period. A warm water bottle will help on your tummy. Good luck hon1

Sounds like you may have Cystitis. That will cause your pain issue while trying to urinate. As for the gush of blood...I've never heard of Cystitis doing that.
Sounds like you may have several things going on. My recomendation is to see your doctor. Your doctor can run a urine analysis and tell you if it is a bladder infection. You will need medication to help treat the infection and to help with the pain so you can urinate.
This is very painful, very common and you will need medication. Why suffer go to the doctor ASAP.

Hi Emma hon: When I started with my period RIGHT up till I had a hysterctomy I would suffer with something called "Dysmenorhea" It is EXTREMELY painful periods. I could not stand up straight, I had SO MUCH pain, sometimes I was taken to emergency and had Morphine Injections. I am NOT saying this is you, but SOME girls have TERRIBLE pains every month. When your period 1st starts, it can be all over the place, one month light the next a flood. So don't worry about the flow.

You will experience more Urinary Tract Infections and now Yeast infection, but DON'T worry about those, Yeast infections are smelly, thick whitish discharge. Urinary Tract infections usually hurt while you are peeing. You could definitely get checked out by your doctor for that - with a pee test. Because IT's NOT SERIOUS, but can be very painful. So DON'T worry about that OK! NOTHING serious is going on here hon, just normal things that young girls go through. Just mention to your mom about your pee, and she will take you for a urine test - just to make sure.

Also ask you mom to get you some Midol, this can help with pain and muscle relaxants. Because when you are in pain, you tense up - which causes more pain. IF those don't work very well for you, and your next period is the same pain level, you can talk to your doctor about getting perscription medication. There are many out there, I can't totally remember what I used to be on, I think it was Tramadol!!! So just check with him. Once again hon, this is TOTALLY normal, and don't stress about it OK? Good luck hon1

Your welcom, if it is still hurting inbetween peeing it is probably a bladder infection then. Either way they can tell from the pee test. Because your bladder and uterus are RIGHT next too each other and Uthera and vagina too, it is hard too tell sometimes isn't it? You can still have pain and no period, it is called PMS - PRE Menstrual Syndrome, so you might still be waiting to have a real period. It takes about 3 or 4 cycles till eveyrthing is worked out. So just ask your mom to take you for a urine test OK?

After this has settled down - and it WILL - have your mom set up an appointment for you to see a Gynecologist. It is a good thing to been seen once a year, so they can keep an eye on your sexual health! NOT talking about sex here!!! o.O ;-) It's just that that is what they call it, when everything in the "nether zone" is kept healthy and checked for anything going on in later years. Just like getting a yearly check up at your regular doctor. Let me know how the pee test turns out OK? NEVER THOUGHT I WOULD ASK THAT!!!! ;-) o.O :$ Good luck hon

Its the beginning of your period! The brown discharge is old blood - or old lining from your uterus. When it is bright blood it means new blood. White discharge is just that, and sticky stretchy discharge is when you are ovulating, you will notice that about 7-10 days after the end of your period. It takes awhile for it all to work and settle out. Just "enjoy" the light times!!!!!!! ;-) XD And just one other point, once this gets on its way, start seeing a gynecologist. AND if this pain continues even without the discharge, maybe get your mom to get you an appointment anyway, just too make sure everything is ok. You are quite young too get Cystisis of the ovaries - relax it's not as serious as it sounds. But this is when listening too your body comes in. What you should start too do now is wear panty liners. You will have different discharges from time to time! And when you are first starting with your period, you can get caught off guard which is VERY embarrassing if your not ready. So wear a panty liner and carry around pads - better be safe than sorry. And remember to shower everyday and keep the area clean, and DON'T use powder down there or anything scented!

the pain in your back and stomach was you ovulating by the way. It usually last 1 or 2 days. You will start noticing the changes now. Just be aware that's all and be prepared, heck it makes me sound like a Girl Guide!!!!! LOL XD ;-) XD
