I recently quit taking birth control and i also have had unprotected sex! two days before my period i started spotting a dark brown then had a light light red period! my "period" came on time as it usually does! i am confused on whether this was my normail period, implantation bleeding or a side effect from stopping my bc! this "period" started on dec 10 and i had sex nov 24, and several times since then to now....i need help on what this might be

Birth control pills are in fact female sex hormones that prevent ovulation from happening, among other things. Dark brown blood is always some older blood that can even be from previous period, but this time it was probably caused by you stopping with birth control, like when you start taking placebo pills during cycle. How much time was between stopping birth control and sex? It definitely doesn’t look like implantation bleeding, it’s too soon after sex and besides that, implantation bleeding lasts less than a day. It could have been your firs ovulation after BC, some bleeding which is usually red can happen just when you are ovulating.
