I believe I experienced implantation bleeding on the 20th or 21st of Nov. I had cramps like I was starting my period (which doesn't start until sometime between Dec 4-10th) I went to check if I started and there was nothing. Later that night I had noticed a small amount of brown discharge. Since then I have had some pregnancy symptoms like tender/heavy feelings breasts, cramping on one side of my abdomen, dizziness upon standing up, a little bit of nausea, tiredness, back ache, some more very light spotting along with mucus like discharge (only once or twice since the initial time) and I have found myself to be a little more irritable than usual. It is now 8 days past the suspected implantation date. I have not missed my period yet since it is not due yet. Am I able to take a pregnancy test now or should I wait longer? I am very anxious to know if I am really pregnant or not. I know some of this is pms symptoms but this is way out of the normal for me. I usually never have pms symptoms until the day that I start my period and it is usually only limited to cramps and a back ache.

If your period is not due until 4th December, then 20th November is more likely to be ovulation day, not implantation day.
- What date did your last period start?
- How long is your cycle (typically 28 days)?
- What dates did you have sexual intercourse since your last period?
- How old are you?
It certainly seems far too early to take a pregnancy test as your period has not failed to arrive.
I hope this helps as a start

That puts a different complexion on things. As you are on the BC pill, you don't actually have a period as such. Instead you have withdrawal bleeding. This usually takes place during the fourth week when the inactive pills are bring taken. However, if you have missed pills, then you are in danger of getting pregnant. So it is possible that you became pregnant before 3rd Nov. Did you have sex before Nov 3rd? You do not get pregnant the day you have sex. That takes time. A fertilised egg has too implant in your uterus, which takes place several days after ovulation. Only then can a test show positive. So if you take a test now and it indicates positive, the likelihood is that you are pregnant. If the result is negative, then that would not be conclusive. How long have you been on the BC pill? Gildess is a brand name for Microgestin, so is effectively the same BC pill.

Apologies for the delay in replying. If you have taken a test, then the likelihood is that you were not previously pregnant. The state of your cervix and the mucus, while can be helpful when trying to conceive, is not a helpful indicator of pregnancy. The BC pill aims to prevent ovulation, then avoid fertilisation if ovulation has occurred, and to stop implantation if fertilisation has happened. So you are unlikely to have ovulated. The ingestion of hormones is likely to cause the symptoms you describe. I suggest waiting until 21 days after your last sexual intercourse to test, so testing on 6th December (21 days after 15th November) seems the best time. I hope this helps.
