It is 8 days before my next period and I've been on the pill for 8 months...I always start my period on the 3rd day of my sugar pills..but I've been having brown slimy discharge for the past 2 days...this mornign I woke up to a heavier blood flow and even had a blood clot the size of a raisin. I'm very worried! I have been on a Quick Cleanse program for a week now and I am wondering if that has anything to do with it since I have changed my diet and I have to urine alot more. Please help! I am worried I am pregnant....I take my pill everyday and have only had sex once this month, it was the last day of my last period.

I've been on birth control for about a year. Every once in a while i will start my period early or have discharge like that. Sometimes i even start my period late. Its TOTALLY normal. Everyones body is different and you will probably never have periods that start at the same time every month. Stress, change in diet, being sick, change in schedules, and change in medication can all affect yor period. Birth Control is just to help regulate things and lighten flow, also helping protect against pregnancy.
