I recently went for my anual exam so I can start taking birth control again after being off of it for 2 yrs. My boyfriend and I MOSTLY practiced safe sex; but slipped up every so often..meaning...we would start off without protection and put on a condom before he came.

I was suppose to start my period LAST Saturday, and went to the doctor for my anual on Tuesday. I've been waiting for my period to start so I can start my pills. On Thursday I had very slight pink color that came and went away...Friday the same. I didn't consider that starting my period. Today.....I began a light brown....and it seemed like I was going to finally start. When I saw this...I took the first pill. But then this flow disappeared.

Not to mention, I took a pregnancy test after the flow stopped today...it came back negative. Have I messed up by starting the pill? Should I have started it on the Thursday? Am I messing up my cycle?

What should I do? HELP!!

Whenever I was first pregnant, it took forever for the test to show up positive. I was about 5-6 weeks pregnant before a test said positive. When I was 4 weeks, I didn't know it, because the test said negative. Light pink and brown spotting are usually the first signs of pregnancy or could be a period. Usually, it is hard to determine if you are pregnant or not when in the first month of pregnancy. The "juice" before the man's cum, most people know have a slight chance of getting a woman pregnant. I would recommend you to wait a few more days then go to the doctor and get a test there because I don't trust the store kind, even though the store kind was the first to tell me I was, it took it 5-6 weeks before it would say positive.
