Hi , I am currently taking Levelen ED for around 4 months now. At the same time each day. I dont want my period so have been missing the sugar pills and only taking the active pills as my periods were extremly heavy and long. I dont want any more children, but have been getting a light period whilst on active pills only. Does this mean the pill will not work for me to prevent future pregnancies?? thanks in advance.

It is still working, BUT have you checked this out with your doctor before you decided to go totally active pills only? As there are other pills and medications to go on to stop your period and ovulating!? NEver do something by yourself OK? As constantly being bombarded by the extra hormones can lead to blood clots and increases in Breast Cancer!

In the case yes i believe you should go to your health care provider and let them know that you are only taking the active pills and not your sugar pills as bambi has said previously and they will be able to prescribe you something else to take to stop you period and ovulation
