I took a PET scan and the results indicated that the cancer was inactive at that time. I think I waited only for a day for them. Generally, your PET scan results will be sent to you or to your physician within 24-48 hours of your PET scan

Hi there,
PET scan will give you accurate diagnosis but you have to be patient for the results. You had a very serious disease and most likely the chemotherapy has helped you. It is hard to tell after the therapy, you have to understand that you have to be monitored for a long period of time in order for doctors to be sure if you have no other threats to your health. The best thing would be not to stress about the results, stay as calm as you can because stress can only worsen your condition. I hope that this helped you in any way.

All the best,
Danella

The PET REPORT says "non-specific mild activity in the osseous structures and vertebral bodies". Also focus of hypermetabolic activity noted in the right hepatic lobe. What does this mean?
