I went to see doctor because I noticed blood in my sputum and he ordered x ray and CT. CT scan shown mass so I underwent a bronchospcopy and a PET scan…. The results of a bronchospcopy were negative???? But other tests indicated it was adenocarcinoma localized in my upper right lung. He recommended surgery. Is anyone here who can share this with me?

Yes I heard about this before and it’s quite common for a bronchospcopy to be negative in a patient with lung cancer. The scope can only get to the largest bronchi. I did less invasive test first when mass occurred and than biopsy, because a CT guided biopsy is more dangerous. I am also waiting for surgery.
