Hey All,

So for the past 5 weeks I've been fighting a resting heart rate between 100 - 130 beats per minute, sitting is another, walking is another (around in house) and slight exercise jumps up to over 160 beats per minute within 3 minutes but the problem is the blood pressure remains low and doesn't come up so I get a lot of symptoms and it is difficult to complete exercise with the extreme exhaustion, sweating, shortness of breath and dizziness.

Saw a Cardiologist and am a very low dose of beta-blockers, not sure if working yet as blood pressure still low and beats still high, so am monitoring it daily.

Question is:  does anyone have info about helping me understand POTS as I am finding daily living extremely difficult due to the extreme exhaustion and daily symptoms I have.  I am a preschool worker and return to work beginning of Sept (and still hoping to do so) but know is very strong possibility of not being able to as I can barely cope with my own 2.5 year old daughter.  What has helped you?

Thanks in advance!

Hi Lizardqueen I'm not sure if you have checked out the web for information but wikipedia has a big article explaining a lot about it :-)
