What is the best otc treatment for food poysoning? I would like to be prepared for that situation because I’m travelling to a region where it’s common to occur. And as I have very sensitive stomach, this problem is not rare for me. What should I take with me on a trip? Thanks in advance.

I use syrup of ipecac in that situations, it induces vomiting. There is also active charcoal; it works by binding substances in stomach. It has effect when given several hours after ingestion of susceptible food. I think that probiotics also can be found in this group, because they are helpful in diarrhoea. It doesn’t have to me that you’re going to be poisoned; it can just harm your stomach.
