hi there. Im Danial and 25 years old. I had an oral sex with my gf on 7th of january. After cumming, i went to the toilet and washed out my penis and clean the cum. About 4 hours later, i had an unprotected sex with her.  I was on a missionary position for about less than 1 minute and then, we changed, i was on the bottom and she's on me. Not later after that, i pulled out and ejaculate outside her which was on her butt. But what i can confirm is that, the cum doesnt drippin as she wipe it after i ejaculate. Do you think that she will be pregnant? She has a irregular period which is once in 3 - 4 months. Any answer and opinion will be highly appreciated. many thanks!

Dear Danial

  1. Pre-cum can contain sperm
  2. Urination would probably clean the urethra of residual semen, but there could still be precum
  3. Sexual positioning has little impact here
  4. What does "the cum doesnt drippin as she wipe it after i ejaculate" mean specifically?
  5. When was her last period?

"Do you think that she will be pregnant?" Could be, depending whether she was fertile. How old is she? Where are you from?

Hope this helps as a start

hi Shepherd! Thanks a lot for the replied! What does sexual positioning has little impact means? U mean the missionary position? What i meant was as i ejaculate outside her, she straightly wiped it using a towel. Her last period was on the 23 of December 2012. But she has an irregular period where only 3 - 4 months. She usually have her period 4 - 5 times a year. Shes 21 this year. I'm from Malaysia btw.

What I meant was that whether using missionary position or cowgirl or whatever would not make any difference to the chance of pregnancy in this case. If she had a period on 23rd December, then as she does not have a period every month, then she is not likely to have ovulated yet, so she is not likely to be fertile on 7th Jan. Wiping the semen was a good idea, but it doesn't deal with pre-cum. Any time you have sex there is the risk of pregnancy, and irregular periods mean ovulation could occur at any time. But the risk does not seem very high for you.

Hi Sepherd.

Ah i see. But i heard and read that a cowgirl position would be very hard to pregnant; Is this true? Yes, she did have her period started on the 23rd Dec 2012, and ended on 27th Dec 2012. She only get her period once each 3 to 4 months. Based on your opinion, when is the time that she would ovulate? And when is the suitable time for her to do a pregnancy test at home? Thank you very much Sepherd.

And one more thing, she went to a doctor last year. From what i heard she told me, The doctor said that she has a thin 'lining' which could lead her being difficult to pregnant. What does this mean btw? thanks

Dear Danial

What I said was that the position "would not make any difference to the chance of pregnancy in this case". However, the position does not make it hard to get pregnant (let alone very hard), but can sometimes affect the likelihood. Some have got pregnant with no penetration! A position that achieves a greater depth of penetration is likely to deposit the semen nearer the entrance to the cervix, and thus pregnancy becomes more likely. Pregnancy depends on a number of factors. If you are trying for pregnancy and are having difficulty in achieving it, changing position might help.

As she only gets her period once each 3 to 4 months, it is difficult to give an opinion on when she is likely to ovulate (other than once every 3 to 4 months. If her periods were regular (say every 100 days) then I could suggest when she might ovulate (day 86, for instance). But if her periods are irregular then her ovulation is likely to be irregular. Periods follow ovulation when pregnancy has not occurred. However, by monitoring her cervical state and her basal temperature, she could find out when she probably has ovulated.

The thin lining the doctor spoke about is the endometrium - the inner lining to her uterus (womb). The fertilised egg (embryo) needs to embed in the endometrium of the uterus (this is what is called implantation), and an optimal endometrium is thick and trilaminar (3-layered). So a thin lining could mean the embryo cannot implant, or does not stay implanted for long.

Thank you for the answers Shepherd!

Another thing, when is the perfect and most likely the suitable that for her to take a home pregnancy test? Since both of us did not know when was the exact day the ovulation might occur, Would it be possible to detect in using how many days after we intercourse?

And would be good if you could elaborate the reasons why the risk does not seem very high?

Thanks!

Sorry, I forgot that part of the question!  She is fertile for 5 days prior to ovulation (sperm can live for about five days in a woman's body). About 11 days later a blood test might prove positive if pregnant, but an HPTest would need to be done at least14 days after. So I would leave it 3 weeks (14+5=19) as you don't know when ovulation occurs. So relating to the 7th January, I would test  no earlier than 28th January to be sure a negative result is negative.

I think the risk is low because for 6th Jan to be a fertile day, she would need this cycle to be a 28-33 day cycle, and she normally does not have a period less than 90 days.

Hope that helps

Hi there Shepherd!

its been a while and hope that youre fine. Its me danial! I just wanted to say that that day, my gf had her period on 21 of jan which lasted as normal 5  days heavily. On the 26, she tested hpt and came out negative. And i did as per your advised, she tested again on the 29 and came out negative. And on the 5 and 9 february as well, she tested again and still came out negative. A few days later, on the 21 of february, she tested again and still negative. And she doesnt have any symptom at all. It has been 6 weeks after intercourse, with 7 hpt and all turned out to be negative. So what do u think?
