I recently had unprotected sex with my partner, we didn't use a condom because we were just fooling around. One thing lead to another and he inserted it inside me. We literally only went going for 2 - 3 mins even less maybe, but i was so paranoid about PRE CUM, and if that could've gotten me pregnant. So i took Emergency contraceptive (Microgynon 30 - 4 tabs and another 4 12 hours later) couple of hours after we had sex, because PLAN B is not available in my country for religious reasons. Is there a chance of me getting pregnant? I mean how effective could the EC been? Im really scared about this PRE CUM business. Please anyone out there, that has had a similar situation like mine and then taken EC let me know the deal..

while i haven't researched the effectiveness of using large doses of standard contraceptive pills as emergency contraception, i think that will be almost as effective as the proper course of EC. in future, remember the best form of contraception is contraception. so if you don't have contraception don't have sex. if you're willing to take emergency contraception then why not look into getting a regular prescription for the pill, or an implant if it is available in your country.

Thanks for the reply, i did some research and they say that large doses of combined ECP's like microgynon 30 is equivalent to Plan b.
I am more worried about this pre cum issue, there is so much speculation on it about how some people say there is some people say there isn't. I don't know what to believe.

well the issue is overhyped due to a lack of understanding. there is truly only a small risk from precum (pre-ejaculatory fluid). precum is secreted from the Cowper's gland and contains NO sperm. the risk comes from the fact that men often have more than one ejaculation in a day and there may be residual sperm in the urethra that can come out with the precum. however this is only in small numbers and they generally aren't viable (i.e. they can't do much). the risk is minimised if a man urinates in between ejaculations as urine will remove the remaining sperm.

Yes i have read that as well, its just really hard to know if sperm is apparent of not. Well i hope i am safe since i a higher dose of combined EC to stop anything just in case. I did so because i knew i was in the middle of month, also knowing that my bf had urinated before physical contact. Please tell me i am safe....

I know that there is always different answers whether or not pre cum carries sperm. I know that my bf urinated before any physical contact so hopefully i am safe. And if so i also took a higher does of a combined birth control before 72 hours of unprotected sex, so does this make me safe? Hopefully i swore that this would never happen again its just very very careless!!
