Hi!

I had my first child in June 2006 and since then my periods have been so confusing to me. After giving birth we all know that you are supposed to bleed for 4 to 6 weeks. Well I only bled for 2 weeks.. maximum 3. After my two weeks of bleeding after giving birth I didn't get another period for about 7 months.... Even though I was happy that I didn't have to worry about my period for seven months I was still concerned. My obstetrician informed me that in many cases Breast feeding can be a natural type of birth control, and that it is unpredictable when I will finally get my first period after the birth of my son. I got my first period in the beginning of January, and it is now mid February and it still hasn't gone away. My flow is not in any way heavy... I'd say it is very light. i may only have to change my pad once a day, if even that. I am beginning to get very worried now that I have been bleeding for at least 7 weeks strait non-stop. I plan to make a doctors appointment, but I don't have much faith in my physician. My period doesn't seem to be slowing down, and it feels like it may be going on forever. I have searched the net trying to find and explanation that might help me to find out what my be causing this... but nothing I have looked up fits my criteria. I think it has something to do with having the baby and only bleeding for 2 weeks instead of 6.... but I may be wrong..

can any one help me with finding out what may be causing this abnormal period of mine???

thanks so much!!! anything will help!
