Feeling concerned that my head/brain seems to be pulsing with odd flashes that feel like the precurser to fainting. Seem to be happening regularly. I have a lack of energy and feel a bit foggy in the brain sometimes. Have had two bouts of chest cough over the past 8 weeks and generally don't feel totally well. What are some of the likely prognosis for this?

I think you should see a neurologist about this and let him runs some tests like an mri of the brain and cervical area
I am having and mri of the cervical area tomorrow (neck) as I get knife pains in my head and my neurologist said he thinks it is nerve pain
