I was climbing a fence and the top part of it punctured my palm, I didnt think it was that bad until I got home and the band aid i had put on was covered in blood. So it took it off and cleaned it out with soap and warm water, put neosporin on it and covered it up with a new band aid. When doing all this I noticed that it was painful moving my thumb, so I took a look a the wound again and noticed that it was pretty deep, and thought that maybe it was deep enough to affect the joint. It even hurts to pick things up with my thumb, like at the tip. Any ideas why my thumb is hurting when I move it? it isnt swollen or bruised either

Hi Erinn,
You may have injured the muscles in your palm. It doesn't mean that you actually punctured them but that the force applied when you punctured your palm was transmitted into the tissues. If you do think the puncture went that deep then you may have injured the nerves.
Trauma to the tissues can cause pain.
If the bleeding is stopped, and you are not oozing any yellow or green fluids, it should heal by itself. Give the hand a few days and it should feel better. Keep it clean and dry.
