Hi, there. I have heard something about this. It is corneal anterior stromal puncture (CASP). It is used for investigation of bullous keratopathy. Here, immunocytochemical techniques are used. They are used for locating fibronectin, collagen type IV and laminin in human corneas. As far as I know, this is only study. I am not sure whether you have this on your mind. Please, let me know. I hope I’ve helped. Bye!

Hi there,
If I am not mistaking this is actually very simple but also very effective procedure. I it used to treat corneal erosion. I think that corneal erosion is a condition that has repeated episodes of dislodgment of corneal epithelium. Do you know anybody that has this problem? I know that this procedure was done with very big needle but I think that this is not the case anymore. Why are you interested in this procedure? Do you have to have this and you are afraid that something might go wrong? I think that the best thing for you right now is to talk to your doctor about this and try to see how is it done.
Best wishes,
Marco
