My girlfriend and I had sex for the first time. We started out using a condom but did not end up that way. This is the first time I have used a condom in about 15 years because I was married at the time. I developed what looks like a red rash on the top half of my penis about 2 hours after sex. Thought it might have been from friction or something. About two days later it was gone from my penis but now in the scrotum area. It is reddish brown. There is no discharge, bumps, blisters, and very little itching if any after about a week and a half. I ask my girlfriend if she had a STD she said no and now I don’t even think we are dating anymore. I went to see a DR just to be safe. He did physically look at the problem and said he didn’t believe it was a STD, appeared to some kind of fungus or bacteria so he didn’t order any STD test and prescribed a lotion( Clotrimazole and betamethasone dipropionate) to apply. I have never been allergic to latex that I know of. I was allergic to petroleum when I was a child. But have out grown it. Could I be allergic to spermicide now found in condoms. Any thoughts? How long does it usually take for this mess to go away
