Recent lumbar puncture

I realise this is an old post but if someone has had a lumbar puncture and having problems I want to share what torture I have been going through.

I have been having electrical headaches!! My lower back almost to the tailbone feels like I have been kicked by a horse. I have had chest pain under my breasts. They had me in so many positions it was crazy!! After the third time they took me to x-ray to do it!!

I did everthing they told me to do I drank plenty of fluids. I layed flat for 6 hours and that caused my back so much pain I couldn't stand it!!

It's been 6 months now and I can hardly walk!!!!!!! I have been to the ER numerous times I have been to the doctors numerous times and they tell me the LP had nothing to do with it. Funny I went in with presssure headaches and after them trying this procedure 3 times now I have all of these problems but they say the LP has nothing to do with them!!!!!! I could walk in there but could barley walk out and back pain like you would not believe.

Yeah right it had nothing to do with it...BS!!!!!

i sympathize with you, i too had a botched lumbar puncture, ive had horrific symptoms since and I was paralyed for hours afterwards, im now taking 18 tablets a day for the pain, yet i still get some pain and still get weakness in my legs when i walk. Have you had a spinal scan done? I too feel as if its all being covered up at hospitals, yet thankfully my G.P has been supportive. Try a different G.P practice they may be more supportive. Have you tried contacting a solicitor about this? If they took your case on they could arrange for you to see an independent doctor. I hope you recover soon! best wishes

im 6 weeks pregnant, had lp done this morning , its evening now and i can barely walk, absolutely no headache but the bk pain is intense running to tummy concerns me as bby is in that area. i am still admitted here, how long would i feel this way?
